IIT, Madras is organizing an online competition on the occasion of World Environment Day 2023 in coordination with Australian National University.
About the Competition
The Department of Civil Engineering, IIT, Madras is organizing an online drawing competition, one-minute video, and technical poster presentations to spread awareness on environmental issues and celebrate World Environment Day 2023.
This event is jointly organized by IIT, Madras, and Australian National University as a part of an ongoing project titled Clean Energy for Healthy Environment and Lives (CE4HEAL).
Eligibility & Topics
The competition is divided into three categories:
- Category 1: Creative Drawing (Ages up to 12 years) on Renewable energy & climate change.
- Category 2: 1 min Video (Ages between 13 to 18 years) on the Role of the community in enhancing renewable energy usage.
- Category 3: Technical Poster Presentation (19 Years & Above) on the Scope of renewable energy & its adoption in rural areas.
Prizes
- 1st Prize: Rs. 3000 + Participation Certificates.
- 2nd Prize: Rs. 1500 + Participation Certificates.
- 3rd Prize: Rs. 750 + Participation Certificates.

Submission Guidelines
- No entry fee is required.
- All entries must be original works, in English.
- Each entrant may submit only one work. No revisions are accepted.
- Plagiarism and off-topic will result in disqualification.
- Entries should not have been previously published in other professional media.
- The poster must be in A3 Size and submitted in the format of DOC, PPT, or PDF.
- The 1-minute video should be submitted in MP4 format.
- Creative drawings must be scanned and submitted in the format of JPG, JPEG, PNG, or PDF.
